What defined TIP.World

TIP.World was a distinct historical label/imprint identity within the wider TIP organisation , not a mere spelling variant of TIP Records. TIP’s own history names Tip Records, Tip World and subsequent imprint phases separately before describing a return to Tip Records branding.

TIP.World carried one of the foundational UK Goa/Psytrance organisations into the post-classic-Goa era and became an important home for the more polished psychedelic sound of the early 2000s.

How TIP.World developed

TIP.World is clearly active by 1999, including the first 1200 Micrograms single, and became a central brand for TIP’s early-2000s catalogue. It released or carried major albums by 1200 Micrograms, Alien Project, Logic Bomb and other artists. Official TIP history later describes the organisation as coming “back to Tip Records in a full circle,” supporting historic status for TIP.World as a distinct imprint phase rather than current independent operation.

People, organisation & management

TIP.World is a historical phase of the wider TIP organisation , not a separate unrelated label. Raja Ram/Ronald Rothfield remained a label principal during the TIP.World era.

Sound, roster & A&R direction

Psytrance is core. Full-On became a significant early-2000s strand through 1200 Micrograms, Alien Project and related releases. Goa Trance is part of the inherited TIP lineage but is not used to erase TIP.World’s later stylistic position.

Place in psytrance history

TIP.World carried one of the foundational UK Goa/Psytrance organisations into the post-classic-Goa era and became an important home for the more polished psychedelic sound of the early 2000s.

Scene impact & cultural reach

The imprint demonstrates how a foundational label could change branding and catalogue emphasis while maintaining organisational continuity and international scene influence.
