Release context
Wild is an Absolum album released by TIP.World in 2001, moving Christof Drouillet's project beyond the 3D Vision environment in which it first emerged. By this point Absolum was already recognised as part of the harder French psytrance wave, so the TIP.World release connected that sound with one of the scene's most internationally established labels.
The move is what gives the album useful context. Absolum did not leave 3D Vision behind permanently, but Wild shows the project operating outside its original home before returning to the label for Inside The Sphere a few years later.
