Release context
Live In Brazil documents 1200 Micrograms as a performing act rather than as a studio concept project. Released in 2005, it arrived after three themed albums had already established the group and during a period when their live show had become a major part of the project's international reputation.
That distinction is important. 1200 Micrograms were built from musicians with deep experience in both studio production and performance, and the project was known for turning its highly theatrical material into a festival-scale set. Live In Brazil therefore adds a different kind of evidence to the catalogue: not another concept album, but a record of how the material functioned in front of an audience.
