The story behind Save The Robot

Save The Robot is an Israeli psytrance project formed by Ari Linker and Ido Liran. The duo emerged in the mid-2000s and became part of the country's polished full-on and progressive crossover scene, building a catalogue around high-impact festival production rather than old-school Goa structures.

The project's music combines firm bass, melodic themes, clean digital sound design and tightly arranged breakdowns. Over time Save The Robot moved comfortably between full-on and progressive pacing, a flexibility that allowed the duo to work across different label and festival environments without losing its basic dancefloor identity.

Activity has been intermittent at points, but Save The Robot has continued as a recognised project beyond its first release period. It is best placed within the generation of Israeli acts that helped blur the boundary between melodic full-on and progressive psytrance during the late 2000s and 2010s.

Origins of Save The Robot

Created by Ari Linker and Ido Liran as a separate joint project alongside their established Alien Project and Quadra identities.

Early career

The duo’s early Psytrance phase culminated in Battle Of The Mind on TIP.World in 2005.

How the career developed

Save The Robot later explored broader progressive and electronic club styles before returning to renewed Psytrance activity around 2020, including United Beats-linked work and subsequent remixes.

Save The Robot sound

Save The Robot combines full-on energy with progressive structure: heavy bass, bright melodic hooks, polished effects and clearly defined builds designed for large dancefloors.

Place in psytrance history

Save The Robot is a substantial joint catalogue linking Alien Project and Quadra , not a one-off collaboration, preserving a distinct creative branch in both producers’ histories.

Connections and influence

Directly related to Alien Project through Ari Linker and Quadra through Ido Liran, while maintaining its own project identity and releases.

Save The Robot today

Intermittently active in the 2020s, with new releases, remixes and mixes after the project’s revival.
