The story behind Bizzare Contact
Bizzare Contact is an Israeli full-on psytrance project centred on producer Didy Ezra. The project's early identity was built with Kfir Lankry, and its first releases emerged from the southern Israeli scene in the early 2000s. Fast basslines, bright synthetic hooks and an immediately accessible festival sound made Bizzare Contact a recognisable name during full-on's expansion.
The lineup later changed, with Gady Ezra joining Didy in place of Kfir. That distinction matters because the Bizzare Contact releases span more than one working configuration , not a single unchanged duo. Across albums, compilation tracks and collaborations, the project kept a high-energy approach while production became cleaner and more streamlined. Didy's work also intersected with Visual Contact, while Kfir Lankry later became best known for Phanatic.
Bizzare Contact continues to exist as a project identity around Didy Ezra, although activity has been less continuous than during its 2000s peak. The name remains closely associated with the polished Israeli full-on generation that helped turn psytrance into a large-festival sound without completely severing its psychedelic roots.
