What defined Mainstage Records
Mainstage Records was launched in Israel in 2012 by Didy Ezra of Bizzare Contact and Stas Marnyanski of Vibe Tribe. The label arrived during a period when Israeli full-on psytrance was increasingly built around large festival stages, polished digital production and artist-led label brands.
How Mainstage Records developed
The first numbered catalogue release, Out of Balance, appeared in April 2012. Mainstage quickly expanded through artist releases and compilations, including material from a wide network of Israeli full-on producers. Its release activity continued into the early 2020s, documenting the later phase of a sound that had first become globally dominant a decade earlier.
People, organisation & management
Didy Ezra and Stas Marnyanski founded the label independently of their better-known artist projects. Mainstage nevertheless remained closely connected to the Bizzare Contact, Vibe Tribe and wider Israeli full-on network, giving it a clear artist-led identity.
