Release context
Total Anarchy arrived in 2006 on Chemical Crew and is one of the clearest statements of Skazi's crossover identity. By this point Asher Swissa had spent years pushing guitar riffs, aggressive drops and rock-stage attitude into psytrance, and the album's title makes no attempt to soften that approach.
It also came after a gap from the early Shaffel-era albums, giving it the feel of a second phase rather than just another annual release. Where Animal and Storm established the project, Total Anarchy presents Skazi as a fully formed festival act with a deliberately confrontational image and a sound designed to work beyond the traditional psytrance underground.
