Release context
Storm followed Skazi's debut and helped turn the project from a new Israeli act into an internationally recognised name. Released in 2002 through Shaffel Records, it belongs to the period when Skazi's harder, riff-heavy take on psytrance was separating itself from the smoother full-on sound developing around many contemporaries.
In catalogue terms, Storm is the bridge between the raw introduction of Animal and the more overtly crossover-minded Total Anarchy that followed in 2006. It captures Skazi while the formula was still being sharpened, before the project moved even more openly toward rock imagery, vocals and large-stage spectacle.
