Release context
Phenomenon is Paranormal Attack's debut album, released in 2006 on Chemical Crew. The Portuguese project had been active since the early 2000s, but this record gave its blend of psytrance and rock-influenced electronic production a full-length platform.
That crossover element became central to Paranormal Attack's identity. At a time when Chemical Crew was already associated with aggressive, stage-oriented psytrance, Phenomenon fit naturally into a scene increasingly open to vocals, guitars and broader electronic influences. The album is the foundation for a project that would continue operating well beyond the mid-2000s full-on boom.
