Release context
The Bright Side followed The Inner Light in 2003, giving Sesto Sento a second album almost immediately after their debut. That quick turnaround is important to the group's history: the trio were still defining themselves, but they were already operating with the confidence of an established full-on act and building a catalogue dense enough to support constant touring.
Placed next to the debut, The Bright Side shows how quickly Sesto Sento became associated with the melodic Israeli full-on sound of the early 2000s. It also set the stage for the 2005 Remixer project, where material from this period and the wider Sesto Sento catalogue could be reinterpreted by other prominent producers in the scene.
