Biography

Kindzadza is the psychedelic-trance project of Moscow producer Lev Greshilov. He emerged from the Russian underground at the turn of the 2000s and quickly developed a sound that was darker, faster and more mechanically intricate than much of the psytrance surrounding it. The debut album Waves from Outer Space, released by Parvati Records in 2004, was a major early statement and remains an important marker in the label’s own history.

Over time Greshilov’s production moved toward increasingly rapid tempos and dense digital sound design, placing Kindzadza at the centre of the transition from darkpsy into what became known as hi-tech. His collaborations with Psykovsky and other Russian artists, and later work through OSOM Music, helped create a distinct network around this approach rather than leaving it as an isolated stylistic experiment.

Kindzadza’s influence comes from both sound and infrastructure. The project demonstrated how extreme speed could still support intricate psychedelic arrangement, while OSOM provided a platform for related artists and collaborations. That combination made Greshilov one of the most important figures in the Russian high-speed psytrance lineage and a continuing reference for hi-tech producers worldwide.

Origins of Kindzadza

The project emerged from Moscow’s early-2000s psychedelic-trance environment. Parvati’s debut-album material identifies Kindzadza as a Moscow-born/Russian act and links the project’s development with Goa psychedelic-trance culture.

Early career

Waves From Outer Space (2004) was the project’s debut album and one of Parvati Records’ early breakthroughs. The early material was presented as experimental psychedelic trance rather than through later retail subgenre terminology.

How the career developed

The post-Parvati period increasingly centred on OSOM Music and collaboration with Psykovsky. Later albums pushed tempo, synthesis and structural complexity further; Born to Grit spans tracks from a comparatively slow 135 BPM collaboration to material explicitly listed at 192–200 BPM, supporting a time-scoped Hi-Tech overlap without redefining the entire early releases.

Kindzadza sound

Dark, highly technical psychedelic trance that evolved from early Darkpsy toward Hi-Tech: fast tempos, dense digital texture, abrupt structural changes and a strong sci-fi character.

Place in psytrance history

Kindzadza is a major early figure in the Russian darkpsy lineage and an important bridge between early-2000s Darkpsy and the faster aesthetics later grouped under Hi-Tech.

Connections and influence

Influence is strongest in the dark/experimental Russian Psytrance lineage, OSOM network and later high-speed psychedelic production. The project illustrates how Darkpsy and Hi-Tech can overlap historically while remaining distinct genres.

Kindzadza today

Active/current. Bitwig lists Lev Kindzadza as a Cyprus-based certified trainer in 2026, and current OSOM/artist channels continue to carry the catalogue and project activity.
