Biography
Arjuna is the psychedelic-trance project of Arjuna Musicco, an Indian-born artist who grew up in Goa while the region’s modern trance culture was taking shape around him. He first approached the music as a collector and DJ, absorbing the sound from inside the local scene rather than discovering it from a distance. Contact with Giuseppe of Parvati Records and Teo of Discovalley helped pull his taste toward the deeper, more uncompromising end of psychedelic trance, and production gradually followed.
His first released work appeared in 2007 under the name Acustic Reaktion, after which the Arjuna project became his main live and studio sound. By the following decade he had established himself as one of Parvati’s most recognisable artists, with Primal Contact in 2015 providing the clearest early full-length statement of his mature sound. The album combined solo material with collaborations involving artists including Farebi Jalebi, Orestis and Atriohm, placing Arjuna firmly inside the network that shaped the modern deep-psychedelic and forest-trance underground.
Arjuna’s music is built less around obvious hooks than around sustained tension, rolling low-end, detailed percussion and slowly mutating psychedelic texture. Although often heard in the same night-time spaces as darkpsy, his strongest connection is to the organic, layered language associated with Parvati and forest-oriented psytrance. He remains an active international performer, dividing his creative life between Italy and Goa while retaining the regional and musical roots that have defined the project from the beginning.
Origins of Arjuna
Parvati Records says Arjuna grew up in Goa around the developing psytrance culture, began DJing at 19, then moved into production after contact with Giuseppe of Parvati and Teo of Discovalley. His first released production identity was Acustic Reaktion in 2007.
Early career
Goa DJ roots; Parvati/Discovalley influence; first release as Acustic Reaktion in 2007.
How the career developed
Transitioned from label DJ and early production experiments into a full live project, culminating in Primal Contact and long-term representation of Parvati’s deeper psychedelic sound.
Arjuna sound
Arjuna works in deep, groove-led psychedelic trance with dense percussion, hypnotic atmospheres and an organic night-time character. Forest Psytrance is a strong stylistic association, while Darkpsy is better understood as an overlap in mood and dance-floor context , not a complete description of his music.
Place in psytrance history
Arjuna is a useful bridge between Goa as a lived regional scene and the later international Parvati/Forest-associated underground. His importance is as a long-term representative and developer of that sound, not as a sole inventor of Forest Psytrance or Darkpsy.
Connections and influence
Primal Contact became an influential reference in the deep, organic, night-time side of modern psychedelic trance and provides a strong internal link between Parvati, Goa scene history, Atriohm, Farebi Jalebi and Orestis.

Active in 2026; current artist channels list a 2026 summer tour and current Parvati-related festival activity.
