Release context
Power Effect is a 2018 Volcano single released by Sacred Technology. Volcano is the solo project of Hanan Gorenshtin, who had already built a long production history through collaborations before his first solo album appeared, so this single belongs to the groundwork leading into that later full-length statement.
The release is useful in retrospect because Only Human did not appear until 2021. Power Effect therefore represents the phase when Volcano was developing as an independent identity rather than being known mainly through projects such as Vertical Mode and Volcano On Mars.
