Release context
Pure Sorcery introduced Flying Sorcerers on Sacred Technology in August 2019, formally joining Aphid Moon and Hypnocoustics under a shared project name. The label presented the track as the beginning of an ongoing collaboration, with more music and live activity already planned.
That makes the single more significant than a one-off studio meeting. It is the point where two established UK psytrance histories were given a separate identity, with the music built around acidic movement, dense melodic detail and a deliberately playful sense of psychedelic excess.
