Biography

Volcano is the psytrance project of Israeli producer Hanan Gorenshtien. Emerging in the late 2000s, the project developed around a modern full-on sound that combined strong low-end pressure with bright, detailed psychedelic sequencing and a polished festival-ready mix.

Volcano's solo discography expanded through albums, singles and collaborations, while Gorenshtien also became known for Vertical Mode with Xerox. That partnership broadened his profile and connected Volcano's full-on foundation with more progressive and crossover-oriented material. The two identities should remain distinct: Vertical Mode is a collaboration, while Volcano is Gorenshtien's solo project.

Volcano has remained active through the 2010s and 2020s instead of being limited to the first full-on wave. Continued releases and live appearances place the project firmly in the contemporary Israeli psytrance circuit, where its sound sits between classic full-on drive and the larger, cleaner production expected on modern festival stages.
