Phanthalassa followed in the same 2012 revival period, pairing new material with the simultaneous work of restoring the project's older catalogue.
Trance Control began in Gothenburg in 1997 as the duo of cousins Alexander Carlborg and Andreas Wennersköld. Their music belongs more to melodic, euphoric and hard trance than to psytrance, but the project has historical relevance through Wennersköld's later work in Gaudium. After roughly a decade of working together, the original duo period ended. Carlborg revived the name in 2012, using that return both to remaster archival material and to issue new music.
