Mission 2002 Vol. 3 extends the series into 2004 and sits near the later end of the original Alexander Carlborg/Andreas Wennersköld partnership.
Trance Control began in Gothenburg in 1997 as the duo of cousins Alexander Carlborg and Andreas Wennersköld. Their music belongs more to melodic, euphoric and hard trance than to psytrance, but the project has historical relevance through Wennersköld's later work in Gaudium. After roughly a decade of working together, the original duo period ended. Carlborg revived the name in 2012, using that return both to remaster archival material and to issue new music.
