Release context
Hyperactive is Nomad's 2001 album for 3D Vision Records and one of the early full-length records in the label's catalogue. It followed the project's first vinyl releases and helped move Nomad from short-format club records into a complete album statement during a particularly active period for French psytrance.
The record sits close to Day One / Spaceship Trippers in the timeline, so the two releases show the project expanding quickly rather than emerging through a long gap between singles and albums. Hyperactive also belongs to the era when 3D Vision's harder, more direct approach was becoming internationally recognisable.
