Release context
Day One / Spaceship Trippers comes from the early vinyl period of Nomad's catalogue and from a time when 3D Vision was still building its identity through compact EP and single releases. Issued in 2001, it belongs to the same phase that led into Nomad's first full-length album, Hyperactive.
That makes the EP more useful as a piece of chronology than as an isolated two-track release. It catches Nomad inside the hard-edged French psytrance scene around 3D Vision just before the longer album format gave him more room to develop the project.
