Release context
*More than Just a Name* was released by Monstercat in March 2020 and reflects how wide Infected Mushroom’s collaborative world had become by that stage. The eight-track album includes work with WHITENO1SE, Bliss, Astrix, Freedom Fighters, Mr. Bill, SpaceNoize and Vertical Mode.
Rather than trying to recreate an older psytrance period, the record embraces the duo’s genre-crossing identity. It moves between psychedelic trance, heavier electronic production and collaborative reinterpretation while still sounding unmistakably like Infected Mushroom.
