The story behind SpaceNoize

SpaceNoize is the Israeli collaboration connecting Space Cat, the long-running project of Avi Algranati, with X-Noize, the production team associated with Barak Argaman and Nadav Bonen. What began as a meeting between artists from different generations of Israeli psytrance developed into a recurring project with its own releases and a catalogue distinct from either parent name.

The dedicated SpaceNoiZe release appeared in 2015, followed by the No Rules EP and then the 2018 album Other Life. The project combines Space Cat's melodic and Goa-rooted instincts with the cleaner, punchier full-on production language associated with X-Noize. Later releases carried the collaboration forward rather than leaving it fixed in the 2010s, with new music appearing through 2024 and 2025.

By 2026 SpaceNoize remained an active collaboration, including new remix work connected to classic psychedelic-trance material. That continuing activity is important because the name can easily be mistaken for a single release title or informal 'Space Cat versus X-Noize' credit. In practice it has become a durable project that bridges classic Israeli psytrance lineage with the more modern full-on era.
