*Live in India* captures Hilight Tribe in the environment where the project makes the most sense: as a performing band rather than a studio-only electronic act. Released in 2011, the set includes pieces such as “Didgedelik,” “Free Tibet” and “Shankara,” tying together material from across the group's catalogue.
The live format is important to Hilight Tribe's history because their “natural trance” identity is built around physical instruments, percussion and performance. This release documents that aspect directly instead of translating it into a conventional studio album.
