Release context
Body & Soul was released in 2003 on Spun Records, placing Deedrah inside the label network built by GMS. By then Frédéric Holyszewski had already moved through Goa trance, early psytrance and numerous side projects, so the album arrived from a producer with an unusually broad range of studio experience.
Its position between Reload and the much later Out of Control makes it an important snapshot of Deedrah's 2000s sound. Rather than belonging to the classic Transwave era or the later HOMmega period, Body & Soul catches the solo project in a more streamlined full-on environment, working comfortably within the international festival circuit of the time.
