Release context
Crazy Astronaut is a Russian high-tech and psychedelic trance project known for very fast tempos, melodic hooks and a deliberately exaggerated science-fiction aesthetic. The project became one of the recognisable names in the high-tech branch of the scene during the late 2000s and 2010s.
Renegade is the earliest Crazy Astronaut release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Silence (2022). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
