One Love Festival at a glance
One Love Festival emerged in Graubünden in 2014 and became a recurring Swiss psychedelic gathering associated with the Alpine landscape around Filisur. Through its 2014–2019 run, the festival combined Psytrance and progressive electronic music with visual art, healing, workshops and a strong community message. The organisers’ own archive identifies 2019 as the last full multi-day festival of that original period.
After several quiet years, the One Love organisation returned in 2026 with a sold-out outdoor Daytimer at Grüsch. The comeback was deliberately presented as a new chapter , not a recreation of the old format: twelve hours of music, workshops and open-air gathering under the One Love name. Because the brand and organising crew are active again in 2026, the festival is best treated as active, even though a new multi-day edition has not yet been announced.
How One Love Festival evolved
The first One Love Festival was held near Filisur in 2014, followed by a second edition in 2015. The location had already been part of the regional psychedelic scene through the earlier Atmosphere Festival, giving One Love an established Alpine context while remaining a separate event with its own organising identity.
Across the following editions the festival developed a recognisable mix of psychedelic music, workshops, art and healing culture. In 2018 the organisers moved away from the former Bellaluna area because of landslide danger. The 2019 edition became the last full One Love Festival before a long hiatus.
The organisation reappeared publicly in 2026 with the One Love Daytimer at the Grüsch-Danusa valley station on 22 August. The event sold out and featured two music areas, workshops, meditation and yoga. The official site describes it as the beginning of a new chapter, confirming that the One Love organisation is active again even though its future format is still evolving.
Music, programming & dancefloors
Historically One Love sat firmly inside the Swiss Psytrance scene, with Psytrance, Full-On, darker psychedelic styles and progressive sounds represented across its editions. The 2026 return broadened the palette further, moving from deep and melodic techno through progressive grooves to euphoric Progressive Trance and Psytrance-adjacent sounds. That range reflects the festival’s longstanding preference for a musical journey , not a single narrow subgenre.
Role in psytrance festival culture
One Love’s strongest identity comes from the combination of Alpine landscape and communal psychedelic culture. During its Filisur years, workshops, healing areas, art and open-air social spaces mattered almost as much as the headline DJs. The festival’s survival as a community after 2019 is significant: the 2026 return shows that the organising network and audience did not disappear when the original multi-day format stopped.
The comeback also illustrates a wider pattern in European Psytrance culture, where long-running festival communities sometimes return first through smaller gatherings before deciding whether to rebuild a full-scale event.
Place, setting & atmosphere
The Graubünden mountain landscape has always been central to One Love’s visual identity. Safety and terrain have also affected the event directly: the former Bellaluna-area site was abandoned after landslide concerns. The 2026 Daytimer moved to Grüsch-Danusa, retaining the open-air Alpine setting while using a different, more compact format.
