Mundo de Oz Festival at a glance
Mundo de Oz is a Brazilian psychedelic festival built around an immersive Wizard-of-Oz-inspired identity and a substantial Psytrance programme. The event combines dancefloors with visual and performing arts, workshops, holistic activities and a temporary community at Aldeia Outro Mundo.
How Mundo de Oz Festival evolved
The Mundo de Oz lineage dates to the 2009–2010 period in São Paulo state. It developed into a recurring festival and remained active through the 2010s and 2020s. The 2026 edition was held in Lagoinha, São Paulo, continuing the Aldeia Outro Mundo chapter.
Music, programming & dancefloors
Psytrance and Progressive Psytrance are the clearest recurring electronic identities, with full-on and other psychedelic styles also represented. Art and alternative programme areas broaden the experience beyond the dancefloor.
Role in psytrance festival culture
Mundo de Oz demonstrates the depth of Brazil’s domestic Psytrance network beyond the internationally famous Universo Paralello. Its longevity, thematic scenography and community-village structure make it an important São Paulo-state festival identity.
