Release context
Mental Notes is the debut X-Noize album, released by HOMmega Productions in 2005. The project came from the Israeli full-on scene at a point when HOMmega was already one of its key labels, so the album placed X-Noize directly inside a well-developed network of artists rather than on the fringes of the genre.
As a first album, Mental Notes establishes the project's catalogue before the later Revolver and Part Of The Plan releases. That sequence matters because X-Noize would also become part of collaborative projects such as SpaceNoize, making this debut the cleanest starting point for hearing the duo on their own terms.
