Release context
*Harmonize* was released by HOMmega Productions in 2017 as Animato’s debut album. The project had grown out of Patrick Chen’s earlier work as PTX, with Animato marking a shift toward a more modern progressive-psytrance direction.
That background gives the record more weight than a simple first album. *Harmonize* documents a deliberate artistic reset by an experienced producer, not the beginning of his career. The nine-track format gave Chen room to establish the new identity on its own terms rather than treating Animato as merely a renamed continuation of PTX.
