Release context
Blink is the debut Wrecked Machines album, released in 2003 through EtnicaNet. Gabriel Serrasqueiro had already been active in Brazilian psytrance, but the ten-track record gave Wrecked Machines a full-length platform and helped place the project within the rapidly internationalising full-on scene of the early 2000s.
The album is especially important in Brazilian psytrance history because Wrecked Machines became one of the country's most visible exports during this period. Blink captures the project before the larger Spun Records connection of Second Thought, making it the starting point for a short but influential early album sequence.
