Release context
Shpongle is Simon Posford and Raja Ram's psychedelic electronic project, created as a space for ideas that sat outside conventional trance structures. Across its catalogue, live instrumentation, studio manipulation and global musical references are treated as part of one continuously evolving psychedelic language.
Shpongle Remixed assembled outside producers including Eat Static, Prometheus, Total Eclipse and Ott around material from the group's first two albums. In 2003 it offered an early look at how Shpongle's music could survive radical changes of tempo, rhythm and production style without losing its identity.
