Release context
Seven Sisters is a 2026 Protoculture single released through Marula Music, Nate Raubenheimer's own label. It belongs to the same current phase as Frequent Flyers and other recent singles, where Protoculture operates primarily in progressive trance and progressive house rather than the psytrance framework of the early Nano Records albums.
That contrast is what makes the release useful in the catalogue. The melodic precision that has always defined Protoculture is still present, but the surrounding rhythm and arrangement language has shifted considerably since Refractions and Circadians. Seven Sisters is therefore another clear marker of how the project has evolved without abandoning its core musical personality.
