Release context
Planet Gone Mad is a 2018 Mad Tribe EP on TIP Records, extending the project after Amazing Tales From Outer Space. By this stage Olli Wisdom and Max Peterson had already moved through two albums and several shorter releases, so the EP belongs to an established catalogue rather than an experimental early phase.
Its compact two-track structure gives the release a different role from the albums around it. Instead of resetting the project, Planet Gone Mad keeps the Mad Tribe identity active between larger statements and continues the run of space-themed titles that had become one of the collaboration's recognisable signatures.
