Release context
Shear Force is the key early release from Kaempfer & Dietze, the project of Piet Kämpfer and Ralf Dietze. Both producers are also central to Protonica, but this shared name gave them room to work in a more progressive-house and club-oriented frame outside their main psytrance catalogue.
Released on IONO MUSIC in 2008, the track became substantial enough to generate a dedicated remix collection the following year. That later treatment gives Shear Force more weight than a one-off single and shows how the duo’s side project connected the Berlin progressive scene with adjacent club music.
