Release context
Not for Fame was Furious's first major album statement on Vertigo Records in 2006, establishing Nikolay Golutvin's experimental psychedelic identity before the later Supremacy period.
Furious was Nikolay Golutvin's experimental psychedelic-trance identity, separate from the more melodic and rave-oriented Crazy Astronaut project. His work under this name became associated with the faster and less conventional edge of Russian psytrance. The albums are best understood as part of a developing personal language rather than a fixed formula, with Golutvin repeatedly changing density, tempo and structure from one record to the next.
