Release context
Etnica emerged from Italy's early Goa-trance movement and became one of the style's most internationally recognised projects. The group's 1990s catalogue is closely tied to the development of the classic psychedelic sound, while later releases and archive projects have repeatedly revisited that formative period.
The Juggeling Alchemists Under The Black Light is the earliest Etnica release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Alien Protein (1996). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
