Release context
Etnica is one of the foundational names of the Italian Goa trance movement, with roots stretching back to the early 1990s. By the 2010s the project was also using archival, dub and remix formats to revisit a catalogue that had already passed through several distinct psychedelic eras.
Etnica in Dub takes material associated with Etnica away from the straight Goa-trance framework and places it in a slower, dub-oriented setting. It reflects the project's willingness to reinterpret its own musical vocabulary rather than treating the 1990s catalogue as fixed history.
