Release context
*The Promised Land* is the 1996 collaborative album by Chakra & Edi Mis, released through Krembo Records. The eight-track programme belongs to the formative Israeli Goa-trance period and documents the partnership as a genuine co-billed project rather than treating Edi Mis as a guest on a Chakra album.
That distinction is important for the catalogue. Later releases often foreground Chakra as the main name, but *The Promised Land* comes from an earlier stage when the collaboration itself was the identity of the record. It is therefore one of the clearest documents of Chakra’s roots before the later HOMmega period.
