*Eye to Eye* is Astrix’s debut album, released by HOMmega Productions in 2002. The ten-track record helped establish Avi Shmailov as one of the defining producers of the early-2000s Israeli full-on sound, with unusually polished production and strong melodic hooks.
The album’s importance goes beyond being “the first Astrix record.” It belongs to the period when full-on psytrance was becoming a dominant international festival style, and Astrix was one of the artists shaping how that sound would be produced and presented.
