Psychedelic Experience at a glance
The 2026 edition opened the German outdoor season from 29 May to 1 June with two floors and 55 hours of continuous music. Psychedelic Experience is a north-German Psytrance open-air centred on the Gallin/Lübz area of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The clearest origin convention comes from organiser-controlled 2024 material celebrating ‘20 Years of Psychedelic Experience’, which points to 2004.
By 2010 Psychedelic Experience had developed into an international festival while retaining an underground, family-style atmosphere. The festival’s modern format combines a Psytrance-focused main stage with an Ambient Garden, elaborate visual production, decorative environments, market stalls and community gathering spaces.
How Psychedelic Experience evolved
The festival’s own 2024 anniversary campaign celebrated 20 years, establishing 2004 as the project’s operative starting convention. The event became established around Lübz/Ruthen/Gallin in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Psychedelic Experience has continued through the 2020s, celebrated twenty years in 2024, ran a 2026 edition and is already promoting a 2027 summer-opening festival.
Music, programming & dancefloors
Psytrance is the stable genre. Artist rosters likewise are not used to manufacture permanent Full-On, Darkpsy or other mappings. Psytrance is the core identity.
Role in psytrance festival culture
Psychedelic Experience’s scene role is tied to its position as an early-season north-German gathering and to the balance it has long advertised between international-scale production and a familiar underground atmosphere. Psychedelic decoration, visual teams, an Ambient Garden, marketplace and communal camping broaden the event beyond a simple DJ programme.
Place, setting & atmosphere
The festival is situated in the rural/lake-rich Lübz/Gallin area and uses camping and open-air infrastructure.
