The story behind Spirit Architect
Spirit Architect is a psychedelic trance project from Skopje, North Macedonia, now centred on producer Angel Zdravkovski. Its roots reach back to the early 2000s, when Zdravkovski and collaborators were developing production skills and sound engineering experience. Earlier biographies document Spirit Architect as a trio involving Stefan Mihajlovski and Vladimir Kostovski as well as Zdravkovski.
The project built its catalogue through releases on labels including Ovnimoon, BMSS and Geomagnetic before attracting the attention of Dacru Records around 2012. EPs such as Source Field established a strong relationship with Dacru, followed by the debut album Moonshine in 2017 and Indigo Child in 2020.
By the middle of the 2010s Spirit Architect was increasingly presented as Zdravkovski’s act, although the exact transition from the earlier trio is not documented with a single clean date. The project remains current into the mid-2020s, with new collaborations and remixes continuing even when 2026 release activity is less clearly defined.
