Biography

Audiotec is the solo project of Israeli producer Miki Damski, part of the generation that pushed melodic full-on psytrance through the 2000s. His early releases developed around Utopia Records and related Israeli labels, with The Magic of Love in 2004 and Freak Show in 2006 establishing a bright, forceful sound built for the peak-time dancefloor.

The album Artrance, originally released in 2010, showed Damski continuing that full-on language while widening the palette. By the early 2010s he was explicitly exploring more progressive territory, reflected in releases such as Mind Technology and later collaborations. That transition is important to the project: Audiotec did not abandon its melodic identity, but gradually shifted toward roomier arrangements and a less relentlessly fast framework.

later releases activity has included work with artists such as Zen Mechanics and releases through labels including IONO and TechSafari. Material continued to appear through 2025. Audiotec is therefore better understood as a long-running, intermittently active project whose main stylistic arc runs from classic Israeli full-on toward progressive psytrance, rather than as a project frozen in its mid-2000s peak.

Origins of Audiotec

Miki Damski’s solo Psytrance identity emerged in Israel in the early 2000s; IONO’s 2013 biography says he had been making music for about a decade.

Early career

Early releases on USTA/Utopia led to The Magic Of Love in 2004 and Freak Show in 2006.

How the career developed

Artrance continued the Full-On catalogue in 2010. Damski moved toward progressive sounds with Mind Technology on IONO in 2013, followed by TechSafari activity and collaborations.

Audiotec sound

Audiotec began with melodic, energetic full-on and later moved toward progressive psytrance. Bright leads, clean bass and euphoric momentum remained central even as tempos and arrangements became more spacious.

Place in psytrance history

Audiotec is representative of the melodic Israeli Full-On generation and of artists who later moved toward more progressive Psytrance without abandoning their earlier identity.
