Create your own Reality continues Unknown Reality’s ambient and downtempo catalogue in 2020, several years after Patchwork. By this stage Ralph K. Freund had clearly separated the project from Braincell and Solar Spectrum, using it for slower music built around live instrumentation, modular textures and environmental sound.
The release therefore represents continuity rather than reinvention. Unknown Reality was already established as the space where Freund could step away from dancefloor structure, and this album deepens that side of his work without blurring it back into his psytrance projects.
