Release context
Transwave was formed by Christophe Drouillet and Frédéric Holyszewski and became one of the key French Goa-trance projects of the mid-1990s. Its releases are closely associated with the fast-moving period when the European psychedelic scene was developing its own labels, festivals and production language.
Datura is the earliest Transwave release currently represented in the ViralFlowMusic catalogue, preceding Hypnorhythm (1995). That makes it a useful starting point for hearing the ideas the project would develop more fully on the releases that followed.
