Release context
*I Love You, Who Are You?* is Ticon’s fifth full-length and was released by Iboga Records in 2011. By then the duo had long since moved beyond the boundaries of early progressive psytrance, and this record reflects that broader identity with material that draws on progressive trance, house and techno as well as their psychedelic roots.
The expanded digital programme also includes remix material, which makes the release feel more like a wide-angle view of Ticon’s club world at the time than a narrowly defined genre album. In the other releases it sits between their earlier Digital Structures years and the later *Mirage* period, showing how far the project had widened its musical vocabulary.
