Release context
Space Cat is Avi Algranati's long-running Israeli psychedelic trance project. The catalogue traces the shift from late-1990s Goa-influenced production toward the cleaner full-on sound of the 2000s, making it a useful timeline of changes within Israeli psytrance itself.
Within Space Cat's catalogue, Power Up sits between Shapes Of Sound (2000) and Mechanical Dream (2004). That position makes the album useful for hearing how the project was changing across that period rather than treating it as an isolated entry.
