Release context
Singularity is a 2018 Shadow Chronicles single on Future Music Records and, like G.ai.a, later became part of the Arcadia album. Its release before the album gave Nate Raubenheimer room to establish Shadow Chronicles track by track rather than relying on the Protoculture name to carry the project.
That rollout matters because Shadow Chronicles was conceived as a fresh psychedelic identity after a long gap from Raubenheimer's earlier psytrance work. Singularity is one of the pieces that helped make that return feel like a new project rather than a nostalgic continuation.
