Release context
Xplore The Wild Side followed Freestyle in 2003 and moved Rastaliens to Boom! Records. The one-year gap shows a project working at a steady pace, but the label change gives this album a slightly different context from the Balloonia material that preceded it.
By this stage Rastaliens already had both EP and album experience behind them, so Xplore The Wild Side is not an introductory record. It belongs to a more established phase, documenting the project as it moved through the wider European psytrance label network rather than remaining tied to a single imprint.
