Release context
Perfect Stranger is Yuli Fershtat's project, developed after his earlier work as BLT. The catalogue sits between progressive psytrance and techno, using psychedelic ideas inside a more stripped, groove-driven framework that helped broaden the sound of the progressive scene.
Within Perfect Stranger's catalogue, Free Cloud sits between Learning = Change (2006) and Leap Of Faith (2012). That position makes the album useful for hearing how the project was changing across that period rather than treating it as an isolated entry.
