Release context
Worldbridger is a 2007 Goa Gil mixed compilation on Avatar Records. The title neatly reflects his international role: Goa Gil had spent decades connecting scenes, artists and audiences through touring, and the mix format was one of the clearest ways to document that curatorial work.
Rather than treating the release like a solo album, it makes more sense to hear it as a snapshot of his DJ language in 2007. The sequencing captures the kind of high-intensity psychedelic material he was championing during that phase of his long career.
