Release context
*Dune* is a compact two-track collaboration between GMS and Jimbo from 2021, pairing the title track with “The Spice”. The release sits squarely in the post-Bansi phase of GMS, when Riktam was continuing the name through smaller releases and collaborative sessions.
The recurring presence of friends such as Pixel, Ajja, Jimbo and Jiri gives this period a communal feel. GMS remains the anchor, but the records often work as meeting points between people with long histories in the same psychedelic-trance circle. Its focused two-track format makes the partnership itself the point, rather than using the collaboration as one feature inside a larger GMS album.
